Graduating with a Masters of Music degree in 1987 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, Rick served as the Minister of Music for 10 years in Fishersville Baptist Church, Fishersville, Virginia before coming to South Orlando Baptist Church. While there, he was the Augusta Baptist Association Director of Youth Leadership and the community church's Hymn Sing and Community Worship Service Director.
